Campus Society is a social network and the largest community of students in the UK with over 600,000 students registered. As part of a brand relaunch, I was tasked with developing a new WordPress website that would play a key role in app download conversion, as well as a source for more information on the brand.
Looked at websites from brands such as ‘Depop’, ‘Peanut’, ‘Daisie’ and ‘Tinder’ which covered a mix of Gen Z visuals to a focus on app direct download conversion (which was a key requirement for Campus Society in addition to the new brand and visuals). All app-based products showed a consistent direct download focus on the landing page / above-the-fold.
NThe wireframes were developed with a focus on the main landing page that primarily promoted the app / direct download, with options for web sign-up and logins. Other screens consisted of a blog page with articles to assist with SEO, About Us, Brand Partners, Clubs & Societies (partner) and a Contact Us page, with considerations for standard website integrations like social links and the site map.
The aesthetic is based on the new Campus Society branding with the hero brand visual taking up all the space above-the-fold, with the brand tagline and app-store logos overlay to drive the download conversion. Top navigation is reserved for login and sign-up, as well as the blog and the sub-brand Campus Books. The footer (below-the-fold) was focused on users / investors / businesses who wanted more information on the brand (About Us, etc) as well as social links.
